The Beginning is the first episode of Schm2000's "Rise of YouTube". It is the first video in the YouTube Trilogy to be edited in Sony Vegas 7. The episode is 7 minutes and 19 seconds long.

Luigi is enjoying a peaceful day outside of Peach's Castle when he suddenly loses control over his body. When he is forced into the Castle, Mario reveals that he has made voodoo dolls to control the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario then decides to lock Luigi in a room. He does the same to MarioMario54321, Starman3, and Captain64000. Schm2000 stumbles across Mario after he captures MarioStar64, causing Schm to look for Camjosh9. He finds CJ9 in the aquarium and tells him about Mario. He also tells DragonBallZKai5 and SMUS16475 about Mario before Dalton gets kidnapped. After Mario lets SM3 and MS92 out, Schm and CJ9 decide to battle Mario. Meanwhile, SM3 and MS64 encounter a black figure who calls himself Death Trapper 1. He wants to destroy the YouTube Rangers, just like the Blooper Stoppers, so SM3 and MS64 fight him. The two battles merge, and DT1 summons an orb that knocks everyone out. Schm is sent to Star Road, where he encounters Skelux. Schm breaks the fourth wall by mentioning that he wasn't credited in MM54321's latest video.
